This plugin is a **free connector**. All design generation, AI enrichment, and catalog storage run on DekorGenie’s servers. You need a DekorGenie partner account (path key and API key from your partner dashboard). #### What this plugin does * Shortcode `[dekorgenie_embed path="YOUR_PATH_KEY"]` — modal launcher (default) or inline iframe * Optional `product_url` so the widget can decorate with the product on a product detail page * WooCommerce: optional auto-embed on single product pages * WooCommerce: optional catalog sync (pushes product name, permalink, images, categories, price to your DekorGenie catalog) #### External service (required) The plugin calls **your configured DekorGenie Site URL and API URL** (defaults: ` https://dekorgenie.com` and `https://api.dekorgenie.com`): * Loads the hosted script `embed.js` and iframe `/embed/{pathKey}` from the Site URL (widget UI and auth handshake) * Catalog sync and “Test connection” use the API URL with your API key (`GET/POST/ api/public/v1/{pathKey}/api/...`) No arbitrary remote code is loaded from unknown third parties — only the DekorGenie origins you set in Settings. Account signup and usage are governed by DekorGenie’s terms; optional AI catalog enrichment may consume **DekorGenie org credits** on the cloud side (not a WordPress paywall). #### Privacy * API key is stored in WordPress options and sent only to your configured API URL for catalog sync / connection test. It is never printed in public page HTML. * Product data (name, permalink, images, categories, prices) is sent to DekorGenie when catalog sync is enabled. * Visitors using the embed interact with DekorGenie’s hosted widget (subject to DekorGenie privacy policy). ## Installation 1. Upload the plugin zip via Plugins Add New Upload, or copy the `dekorgenie-embed` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`. 2. Activate **DekorGenie Embed**. 3. Go to Settings DekorGenie Embed. 4. Set Site URL, API URL, Path key, and API key from your DekorGenie partner dashboard( Keys page). 5. Copy the site origin shown on the settings page into **Allowed origins** in the partner dashboard. 6. Use the shortcode or enable WooCommerce options as needed. 7. Click **Test connection** after saving. ## FAQ ### Do I need a DekorGenie account? Yes. The plugin connects to the DekorGenie cloud service. Create a partner account at https://dekorgenie.com and obtain a path key and API key. ### Is the plugin freemium or trialware? No. All plugin features included in this package are available without a WordPress license key or time limit. Optional cloud features (e.g. AI enrichment) are billed by DekorGenie on your organization wallet if you enable them — that is service usage, not a restriction of the plugin code. ### Why does the plugin load a remote script? The room-design UI is a hosted application. The plugin loads DekorGenie’s `embed. js` and iframe from your configured Site URL so visitors use the up-to-date widget with secure nonce/token auth. This is a documented external service dependency. ### Does catalog sync lock or delete products in WooCommerce? No. Sync only pushes data to DekorGenie.
