It reads your published products and the pages you choose (shipping, returns, FAQ, terms) and answers shoppers’ questions with links to the right products. If something is not in your catalogue or your pages, Dana says so instead of inventing an answer. * Answers product questions and recommends products from your catalogue * Shows product options and adds the chosen one to the WooCommerce cart * Shows best sellers, new arrivals and your categories * Answers “where is my order?” for a shopper who gives their order number and billing email * Hands the conversation to you when a shopper asks for a person, or takes their email when nobody is online * Optional email offer that creates a single-use WooCommerce coupon * A dashboard for your inbox, analytics and settings, opened from WooCommerce Dana Free plan: 50 conversations a month and the first 250 products searchable. Paid plans raise both. This plugin connects your store to the Dana service. It does nothing until you click Connect on its settings page. See “External services” below for exactly what is sent and when. ### External services This plugin connects to the Dana service at https://dana.gettanabana.com, run by Ferasa AI. Without it the plugin does nothing: the service is what indexes your catalogue and writes the chat replies. Nothing is sent until you click **Connect** on the plugin’s settings page, except the list of plans and prices shown on that page, which is fetched from https://dana. gettanabana.com/site/plans (no store data is sent with that request). After you connect: * **When you connect:** your site’s address, the email you enter, and your WordPress and WooCommerce versions, to create your account. * **When products sync** (on connect, daily, when you click Re-send, and when you edit a product or its stock changes): each published product’s name, description, price, images, categories, tags, attributes, variations and stock status, plus your best sellers, newest products and category list. When a product is deleted or unpublished, its ID is sent so it can be removed. * **When pages sync:** the text of the pages you choose under “Pages Dana reads”. * **When a shopper uses the chat:** the chat widget (included in this plugin) sends what the shopper types, the page they are on and their cart contents to the service to be answered. An anonymous session cookie (`dana_sid`) is set only if the shopper has allowed analytics. * **When an order is paid, refunded or cancelled:** the order ID, number, total and currency, and the anonymous chat session ID if there is one, so the service can tell whether a conversation led to a sale. No names, addresses or payment details are sent. * **When the service looks up an order or creates a coupon for a shopper:** the service calls this plugin’s REST endpoints (`/wp-json/dana/v1/order` and `/wp- json/dana/v1/coupon`). Every call is signed with a key only your store and the service hold. An order lookup returns status, item count, total, tracking and the shipping city, state and country, and only when the shopper’s email matches the order. Install and activate the plugin. WooCommerce must be active. 2. Go to WooCommerce Dana, enter your email and click Connect. 3. Your products and pages are sent in the background and the chat appears on your store when that finishes. ## FAQ ### Does the chat window link back to Dana? Only if you choose. A small “Powered by Dana” link is off by default; you can turn it on under WooCommerce Dana. ### Does it work without WooCommerce? No. It reads your WooCommerce catalogue and cart. ### Can Dana see customers’ payment details? No. Checkout stays on your store and Dana is not part of it. ### What happens when I disconnect or uninstall? Disconnect stops all communication with Dana immediately.
