Content Expiration & Redirect

Description

Do you have content that you only want to show for a limited amount of time, like an event or a time-limited or one-time offer?

Don’t want to worry about manually having to manage or take down your old content with expired and out of date events, outdated offers or information?

Content Expiration & Redirect plugin lets you schedule content to expire, and at the specified expiration date and time the content will start to redirect to a URL of your choosing.

As soon as the WordPress post or page scheduled expiry date is reached, the content automatically starts redirecting to the URL of your choosing.

Love this Plugin!

Finally a plugin to expire posts and to make a specific redirect. Exactly what I needed and was looking for. This plugin works great! Thank you so much, Dev.

Doesn’t work anymore

Latest version of WP, currently not working it seems!

Issue: Selecting an expiry date and trying to Update the post reverts the expiry date to “None”.

Will update review if this changes

Great plugin!

This plugin is now my favorite.

Redirection does not depend on cookies, nor the IP address. Redirection is going to WordPress time set in the General Settings. And there’s no cheating. Redirection is real and irreversible. Excellent!

Redirection has nothing to do with javascript or http redirect. If I keep open page all day nothing will happen. But when I visit the site at a given time page is redirected. Flawlessly!

I put a redirect several pages in series:

http://www.mytestsite.com/page1/
http://www.mytestsite.com/page2/
http://www.mytestsite.com/page3/

And guess what?

Redirection works from page 1 to page 3 without jumping from page 1 to page 2 to page 3. I’m immediately on page 3. And this is great!

I recommend this plugin to anyone. Of course, if someone wants bells and countdown timer, then a search for something else. But this plugin is exactly what I was looking for. Tested. This works great.

Great plugin! Thanks.

redirect goes to 404 page

Tried this out but soon started getting messages from users that the page that had expired was going to a 404 page not found page, despite redirecting with a correct URL. Page reappeared when I reset the timer, but if the redirection isn’t working when it times out, there’s not much point in using it.
