Connect a Google Search Console property, sync search queries and page performance, review recommended opportunities, and use the WordPress AI Client to generate content briefs and drafts through the AI provider configured by the site administrator. AI-generated content is shown for review. When you connect Search Console, Google OAuth is used to authorize access. The plugin requests the `webmasters.readonly` scope and sends the selected property and date range when synchronizing data. When an administrator requests a brief, draft, or content refresh, the plugin sends the relevant prompt and context to the WordPress AI Client. The AI Client routes the request to a provider configured by the site administrator under **Settings > Connectors**. The provider may receive information included in the requested prompt, such as business profile details, Search Console opportunity data, and existing article content being refreshed. The privacy policy and terms of the configured provider apply to those requests. ### Privacy Content Console stores the following information in the local WordPress database when the related features are used: * Business profile fields entered by an administrator. * Google Search Console query, page, and performance data retrieved for the connected property. * Google OAuth access and refresh tokens required to access the connected Search Console property. * AI generation prompts and generated outputs. Google Search Console data is requested only after an administrator explicitly connects a Google account and property. AI prompts are sent only when an administrator requests AI generation. The plugin does not send telemetry or analytics data to its own servers. Site owners should maintain a privacy policy that accurately describes their use of this plugin and the external services they configure. ## Installation 1. Upload the `content-console` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the plugin ZIP from the WordPress admin. 2. Activate Content Console from **Plugins** in WordPress. 3. Open **Content Console > Settings**. 4. Configure an AI provider under **Settings > Connectors** if you want to use AI generation. 5. Configure the Google Search Console connection if you want to use Search Console data. 6. Connect a Search Console property and sync its data. 7. Review the available content opportunities and generate a brief or draft when needed. 8. Review generated content before creating or updating a WordPress post. ## FAQ ### Is Google Search Console required? Yes. Search Console is required for the content-opportunity workflow. The plugin can still be activated without connecting Search Console, but opportunity data will not be available. ### How do I configure AI generation? Content Console uses the WordPress AI Client. In WordPress 7.0 or later, configure a supported AI provider under **Settings > Connectors**. The plugin does not ask you to enter or store an AI provider API key in its own settings. ### Does the plugin publish AI content automatically? No. Generated content is presented for review. Creating a WordPress draft or updating an existing post requires an explicit admin action. ### Does the plugin collect telemetry? No. This plugin does not include built-in telemetry or analytics tracking. ### Where is my data stored? Search Console data, business profile information, and AI generation history are stored in your WordPress database.
