The plugin is **free**: you only pay for your SMS/RCS credits on your Conexteo account, managed on app.conexteo.com. **Data protection**: API credentials are stored encrypted, only the minimum data is transmitted (phone number, first name, last name), opt-in checkbox at checkout, access log for bulk customer data reads, automatic purge of old scheduling data. ### External services This plugin is a connector for the **Conexteo** SMS/RCS sending service and communicates with the API at `https://api.conexteo.com`, operated by Conexteo (a French company). A Conexteo account is required (app.conexteo.com). Data sent to the API when sending messages: the recipient’s phone number, first name and last name (for message personalization), the message content and the sender name. No other site or customer data is transmitted. Upload the `conexteo-sms-rcs` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the zip through Plugins > Add New. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Go to the **Conexteo** menu > Settings: enter your App ID and API key (available on app.conexteo.com under My Account > API / Webhook). The connection is verified before saving. 4. Configure your automated events in the Events tab. 5. Recommended: set up a system cron calling the URL shown in the Settings tab every 5 minutes (WP-Cron only runs when the site receives visits). ## FAQ ### Do I need a Conexteo account? Yes, create your account on app.conexteo.com. The plugin uses your Conexteo SMS/ RCS credits. ### Which variables can I use in my messages? Depending on the event: #prenom#, #nom#, #commande#, #montant#, #lien#, #numero_suivi#,# transporteur#, #produit#, #lien_produit#, #image_produit#, #anciennete#, #boutique#. The {variable} syntax is also accepted. ### Are there constraints on RCS images? Yes: PNG or JPG only (no WebP — the plugin automatically falls back to a PNG/JPG version of your product images when WordPress generated WebP thumbnails), up to 4 buttons per card with a 25-character label, carousels of 2 to 10 cards. ### In which language is the interface? The plugin interface is in French, as the Conexteo service targets French-speaking merchants.
