## Description

CodexCR AI Publisher generates complete articles manually on request, using the
WordPress AI Client introduced in WordPress 7.0. The administrator connects a supported
provider via Settings > Connectors, enters a topic, and receives an editable WordPress
draft with SEO-related metadata, tags, and business-context calls to action. **No
paid CodexCR license or time/usage limit is required for this free functionality.**
AI providers may charge for API usage.

#### Business-focused editorial workflow

 * **Real services and business context:** Include offered services, intended readers,
service area, real contact details, and brand tone in prompts.
 * **Approved external links:** Generated links outside an administrator-controlled
URL/domain allowlist are removed; this plugin does not scrape external websites.
 * **Relevant internal links:** Point articles toward selected service URLs.
 * **Reduce duplicate topics:** Existing post titles are provided as context, not
   a uniqueness guarantee.
 * **Editorial control:** Posts are drafts by default, and editorial warnings can
   block immediate publishing.
 * **Structured article data:** Titles, slugs, excerpts, tags, SEO titles, focus
keyphrases, and meta descriptions; integration with AIOSEO if present.

#### AI providers

 * WordPress 7.0 or newer is required. Credentials are managed by **WordPress Settings
   > Connectors**, not by this plugin.
 * Any compatible text-generation AI provider supported by the WordPress AI Client
can be used. For Groq, install a compatible Groq AI Client provider plugin from
WordPress.org and enter its API key via WordPress Connectors. Provider connectors
are independently maintained; no connector is bundled, installed, downloaded,
or activated by CodexCR AI Publisher.
 * The WordPress AI Client selects a model available for the site and handles provider
communication. The plugin suggests capable text models (GPT-OSS 120B, GPT-OSS
20B or Llama 3.3 70B), with automatic fallback when unavailable. This does not
remove provider rate limits. Generated JSON must still satisfy the plugin’s required
article schema; if the provider returns an invalid response, no incomplete article
   is created.
 * Provider services may have their own pricing, quotas, and privacy terms. CodexCR
   does not supply API credits.

#### Free and Pro

Free: manual generation, business profile, source and link controls, SEO fields,
editorial review, and settings import/export. No artificial trial or quota. An optional
Pro add-on distributed separately outside WordPress.org provides autonomous topics,
daily publishing, AI images through Cloudflare, advanced rules, and CodexCR licensing.
The Free ZIP has no locked premium code and does not install remote code.

#### External services and privacy

When a site administrator requests article generation or tests the AI connection,
CodexCR AI Publisher passes the selected topic, optional keyword, business profile,
configured services and contact details, approved sources, existing post titles,
and editorial instructions to the **WordPress AI Client**. WordPress then sends
those inputs to whichever third-party AI provider has been configured in Settings
> Connectors. The provider may process and retain information according to its own
terms. Administrators should avoid entering confidential or personal information
into prompts and review the applicable provider’s privacy policy. This plugin does
not independently send requests to Groq or any other AI provider, store their API
secrets, send telemetry, or contact CodexCR servers from Free.

Optional Pro communicates with CodexCR Hub for licensing and updates and, if enabled
by the administrator, with Cloudflare for AI images. Pro is not included in this
submission.

#### Content responsibility

AI models can produce factual mistakes, misleading claims, inappropriate wording
or unverified citations. The site owner must review output for accuracy, copyright,
lawful use and appropriate SEO practices. This plugin is not intended to generate
spam or misleading content.

## Installation

 1. Install on WordPress 7.0+ and activate CodexCR AI Publisher.
 2. Go to **Settings > Connectors** and configure a supported text-generating provider.
To retain Groq, install a provider connector compatible with WordPress AI Client
and configure your Groq key there. An existing key stored in CodexCR AI Publisher
    is not transferred automatically.
 3. In **CodexCR AI > Conexión IA**, test the provider connection.
 4. Fill in your real services and editorial context under **Empresa**.
 5. Under **Generar artículo**, enter a topic and create an editable draft or post.
 6. Optionally delete an obsolete Groq key from CodexCR AI > Conexión IA. Never paste
    the secret into support tickets.

## FAQ

### Does the free version require a paid license?

No. Manual content generation is included without a trial or CodexCR-imposed quota.
Provider account pricing and limits are independent.

### Can I continue using Groq?

Yes, via a Groq connector that supports the WordPress AI Client. Configure your
key in Settings > Connectors. Groq is not bundled or required if you select another
compatible provider.

### Does this plugin send data to CodexCR?

Not in Free. AI requests are handled by WordPress and the provider the administrator
configured.

### Does it support WordPress before 7.0?

Version 5.1.3 requires WordPress 7.0+ for the native AI Client. For older WordPress
versions, this release is not compatible.

### Are premium features artificially disabled within this plugin?

No. Paid features are supplied only by an independently installed add-on outside
WordPress.org.

### Are images generated in Free?

No. Optional Pro offers image generation via Cloudflare, subject to separate configuration.

## Changelog

#### 5.1.6

 * Accept ordinary text and Markdown as WordPress AI Client responses, convert them
safely to HTML, and save unconfirmed completions as drafts.
 * Reduce reliance on delimiters and provide safe response-length diagnostics without
   exposing prompts.

#### 5.1.5

 * Reduce output truncation by calibrating article length to the selected AI token
   budget.
 * Request complete HTML before SEO metadata, preserving content if metadata is
   truncated.
 * Recover only complete HTML blocks as drafts when the provider omits response
   delimiters; never auto-publish recovered content.
 * Preserve all existing Groq connector, WordPress AI Client, editorial controls,
   SEO and optional Pro functionality.

#### 5.1.4

 * Generate each manual article using a single standard text response instead of
multiple JSON recovery requests; keep editorial metadata and HTML together.
 * Persist a short cooldown after provider HTTP 429 responses to prevent immediate
   repeated calls.
 * Limit the number of previous titles included in each prompt without changing
   existing posts or settings.

#### 5.1.3

 * Respect the administrator’s AI model preference through native using_model_preference(),
avoiding accidental selection of a less suitable first-discovered model.
 * Display a clear wait instruction when providers return HTTP 429, without immediate
   retries that increase quota usage.
 * Preserve AI Client, Groq connector, optional Pro, SEO, publishing and existing
   settings.

#### 5.1.2

 * Recover from Groq JSON generation failures through WordPress AI Client without
   downloading or executing external code.
 * On long article JSON errors, separate safe HTML generation from compact structured
   metadata generation.
 * Validate all generated fields before creating a post; retain compatibility with
   Pro 1.1.0.

#### 5.1.1

 * Cap AI Client output-token requests to 3,500 to avoid model-specific HTTP 400
errors (including Groq models capped near 4,096).
 * Automatically retry with smaller token budgets only when the provider reports
   an output-token limit error.
 * Make token preferences safe even if an older release saved higher values; preserve
   editorial, SEO and Pro integration.

#### 5.1.0

 * Migrate all free text-generation and connection diagnostics to the native WordPress
   7.0 AI Client.
 * Remove direct Groq HTTP API requests and local API key entry; use Settings >
   Connectors.
 * Retain the business context, prompt structure, structured JSON validation, publishing
   workflow and Pro hooks.
 * Require WordPress 7.0+; update privacy and provider documentation.

#### 5.0.2

 * WordPress.org submission documentation and source-classification improvements.

#### 5.0.1

 * Address Plugin Check findings, including JSON output, legacy syntax and request
   sanitization.

#### 5.0.0

 * Separate free manual editorial generation from a premium automation add-on.
