Your backups are stored locally on your Wordpress installation that CodeGuard has access to. I can see little reason to ever store your backups from anywhere but a secure remote server, which is why you have CodeGuard in the first place. The plugin does not work at all in half of my webites. I have contacted customer service and they do not know what causes it. The only suggestion was to use the ftp method.
