I was researching a different plugin for this purpose, but it wanted me to wipe out my WordPress database first (delete all content on my site). OH NO!! This plugin was so easy to use, and allowed me to keep my current WP content and import my posts, categories and media files from my Joomla site (you should put that specification in your description BTW). THANK YOU SO MUCH - you saved me hours and hours of work!!

Copied Joomla categories and articles to categories and posts in WordPress. No users. No menus. Images not properly connected to articles. But got the text content quickly, simply.

Joomla Importer is a superb tool- I have used it for importing the theme and contents, both. And I am happy to say it was damn easy to use. There are few alternatives that I considered and even gave trial run; but where this plugin mainly scores is coupling and cohesion of the framework to provide a functionality centered end result.

A simple straight-forward, no-nonsense plugin for importing the content to WordPress. Support team is highly responsive when it comes to any assistance that you may need. Quality service overall.

Had couple of online services get me quote for my Joomla to WP content migration and figures they gave back staggered me. Thats when I decided to give this plugin a try- and what a savior it turned out to be. I don't have a site with too many pages but its exceedingly complex. I was little skeptic to start with but it worked like a charm and was done in no time. Developers deserve high credit for the clean functionality they offered with this product.
