Chitika RPU 4 WordPress

Description

This simple WordPress Plugin lets you insert the Chitika RPU (Related Product Unit) into your WordPress blog instantly without any hassles. It can also give you the flexibility to position your RPU in the desired location.

I have created this plugin using WordPress 2.3.3. If you have successfully
installed and used this plugin on any other version of WordPress, please do let me know. You can also use this contact form to report bugs and give suggestions. Please mention “Reg. Chitika RPU 4 WordPress Plugin” in the subject line.

Adding an RPU

You can add the Chitika RPU code to your blog in one of three ways.

The first method is very simple and does not require you to change any part
of your template files. Just go to the “Chitika RPU 4 WP” Options page and
enter the appropriate option in the “Add code automagically” input box. The
RPU code will be automatically added to the end of the post content on the
required pages.

The second method to add the Chitika RPU is using the widget. Just go to
Presentation > Widgets, drag and drop the Chitika RPU 4 WP widget on to
the desired sidebar. At present all options will have to be set from the options
page. For this widget it is desirable to have a sidebar after the post.

The third method requires you to enter the following piece of PHP code into
your template files. This gives you the flexibility to place the RPU code in
your desired location.

<?php if (function_exists('writeChitikaRPUCode')) { writeChitikaRPUCode(); } ?>

As you can see, we are using a function, writeChitikaRPUCode(), to echo the
RPU code. This function accepts 19 string parameters which I have listed
below in the order in which they are accepted. All these parameters are
optional. If you want you can set all these parameters from the options page
and just insert this function without any parameters within your template.
If you use any of these parameters, don’t forget to enclose strings within
single quotes.

List of Parameters

  2. Keywords – You can even use the option strings available below the
keyword field on the options page.
