chatpod ai is an AI agent built for WooCommerce that helps your store sell more,
support faster, and capture leads automatically.

Your customers can search, browse, and buy products directly inside the chat widget.
chatpod ai understands natural language queries, shows relevant products with variants,
and lets shoppers add items to their WooCommerce cart without leaving the conversation.

chatpod ai answers questions about orders, shipping, returns, and store policies
using your store’s actual data. When it can’t resolve an issue, it automatically
creates a support ticket for your team.

 * **When:** On every front-end page load

#### Analytics

 * **Service:** Mixpanel (`https://cdn.mxpnl.com`)
 * **Purpose:** Collects anonymous widget usage metrics (e.g. widget opens, searches)
   to power analytics in your chatpod ai dashboard
 * **Data sent:** Widget usage events
 * **When:** When the chat widget is loaded on front-end pages

## Installation

 1. Upload the `chatpod-ai` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install via the WordPress
    plugin screen
 2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu
 3. Go to **Settings > chatpod ai** and enter your secret key (starts with `cpd_sk_`)
 4. The chat widget will appear on your store automatically

 * WooCommerce 5.0 or later (optional — required only for cart, order, and automation

### Do I need a chatpod ai account?

Yes. The plugin connects your WooCommerce store to the chatpod ai platform, which
provides the AI agent. Sign up at [chatpod-ai.com](https://chatpod-ai.com).

### Does the plugin work without WooCommerce?

The chat widget itself will load on any WordPress site, so chatpod ai can still 
serve as a conversational assistant for service-based businesses. However, e-commerce
features — cart integration, product search, order tracking, discount rules, and
marketing automations — require WooCommerce to be installed and active.

### Can I customize the widget appearance?

Yes. You can adjust the bubble position (horizontal and vertical offset) from the
plugin settings page. Colors, avatar, and welcome messages are configured in your
chatpod ai dashboard.

### What data is sent to chatpod ai?

Cart operations, order details, and store URL are sent to the chatpod ai backend
for AI processing and automation. See the “External Services” section for full details.
