Formidable Forms can be automatically sent to Salesforce as Contacts, Accounts,
Opportunities, or Leads, helping you manage customer data efficiently without manual
entry.

### External services

This plugin connects to Salesforce CRM (Salesforce, Inc.) to authenticate administrators
and send mapped form submission data to Salesforce objects (Contacts, Accounts,
Opportunities, and Leads).

Service provider: Salesforce, Inc. — https://www.salesforce.com/

Domains / hosts used by this plugin:

 * https://login.salesforce.com — Production OAuth authorization and token endpoints
 * https://test.salesforce.com — Sandbox OAuth authorization and token endpoints
 * Your connected Salesforce instance URL returned during OAuth (commonly a host
   such as https://*.salesforce.com, https://*.my.salesforce.com, or https://*.force.
   com). All subsequent REST API requests (create/update records, SOQL queries,
   object describe, and notes) are sent to that instance URL.

What data is sent and when:

 1. OAuth authentication (administrator-initiated only)
 2. * When: Only when a site administrator clicks Connect Account (or when an access
       token is refreshed).
     * Data sent: Client ID, Client Secret, authorization code / refresh token, redirect
       URI, and PKCE code verifier. No form visitor data is sent during authentication.
 3. Form submission sync
 4. * When: Only when a visitor submits a Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor, or Formidable
       Forms form that has an active Salesforce feed.
     * Data sent: Only the form field values that the administrator mapped to Salesforce
       fields (for example name, email, phone, company, and any other mapped fields),
       plus the selected Salesforce object type.
 5. Admin configuration / testing
 6. * When: While configuring feeds, testing the connection, or adding notes from
       the Logs screen.
     * Data sent: OAuth bearer token; for describe requests, the Salesforce object
       type; for notes, the note title/body and related Salesforce record ID.

API endpoints used (relative to the connected instance URL unless noted):

 * OAuth token: https://login.salesforce.com/services/oauth2/token or https://test.
   salesforce.com/services/oauth2/token
 * Create / update records: {instance_url}/services/data/vXX.X/subjects/{objectType}
 * Query records: {instance_url}/services/data/vXX.X/query/
 * Describe object fields: {instance_url}/services/data/vXX.X/subjects/{objectType}/
   describe/
 * Notes (when used from Logs): {instance_url}/services/data/vXX.X/subjects/ContentNote
   and related endpoints

No data is sent to Salesforce unless a site visitor submits a mapped form (or an
administrator performs connection, feed configuration, test, or note actions). All
requests use HTTPS.

### Why We Built This Plugin

Salesforce CRM is a powerful platform for managing customer relationships. By integrating
it with Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor, and Formidable Forms, we wanted to make
it easier for WordPress users to send contact and lead data directly to Salesforce
and automate their sales and marketing workflows.

### Data Handling & Privacy

This plugin does not collect personal data independently.

It processes form submission data that is already handled by WordPress and your
installed form plugin (Contact Form 7, WPForms, Elementor, or Formidable Forms).

If logging is enabled, limited submission data and API responses may be stored in
the WordPress database for debugging purposes.

Data is transmitted to Salesforce only when:

 * A form submission occurs, AND
 * A Salesforce feed is configured and active.

Site owners are responsible for:

 * Informing users about data collection
 * Obtaining user consent where required
 * Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws
