This plugin puts every product category on a single screen under Products > Category SEO and saves the SEO values into the fields of the SEO plugin you already use. **Editor** * Every product category on one screen, with the hierarchy * Name, slug, description, SEO title, meta description and robots per category * Character counters against the 60 and 160 character marks * Per-category robots (index/noindex, plus nofollow where the SEO plugin supports it); the site-wide default stays in place when nothing is set * Save one category or all changed categories at once * Search across names, slugs, descriptions and meta * Hide the fields you are not using * Warning when a slug change creates a new URL **CSV** * Export every category with slug, name, description, SEO title, meta description and robots * Import the same file back after editing it in a spreadsheet; rows match on term ID, then slug * Import updates every column it finds: name, slug, description, SEO title, meta description and robots. A column left out of the file is left untouched. It never creates categories **SEO plugins** Rank Math, Yoast SEO and SEOPress are detected automatically. Without one of them, names, slugs and descriptions still work and the SEO fields are disabled. Yoast SEO has no per-term nofollow, so that control is hidden when Yoast is active. **Add-on** A separate add-on from brainrune.com adds a primary category audit with one-pass fixes and bulk operations across products and the category tree. The free plugin is complete on its own; nothing in it is limited. **Privacy** No data leaves your site. No accounts, no tracking, no external requests. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it from Plugins > Add New. 2. Activate it. WooCommerce must be active. 3. Open Products > Category SEO. ## FAQ ### Does it require Rank Math, Yoast SEO or SEOPress? No. Names, slugs and descriptions can be edited without any SEO plugin. The SEO title, meta description and robots fields need one of the three, because that is where the values are stored. ### Where are the SEO values saved? In the term fields of the active SEO plugin: Rank Math and SEOPress term meta, or the Yoast SEO taxonomy meta option. Nothing is stored in a format of its own. ### Will changing a slug break URLs? Yes, the same way it would in WooCommerce. The old URL returns a 404 until you add a redirect. The editor flags the field as soon as the slug changes and the save notice counts the slugs that changed. ### Does the CSV import create categories? No, it only updates existing ones. It matches on term ID, then slug, and writes back every column present in the file: name, slug, description, SEO title, meta description and robots. A column missing from the file is left untouched. Renaming a slug through the import has the same effect as renaming it in the editor: the old URL returns a 404 until you add a redirect. ### What does uninstalling remove? Nothing.
