What it does:
The plugin connects to Google’s Gemini API to:
– Generate chatbot responses to user questions
– Create vector embeddings for content indexing
– Process and understand natural language queries
When data is sent:
– When a website visitor sends a message through the chatbot
– When site administrators index content (posts/pages) into the knowledge base
– When the chatbot searches for relevant content to answer questions
What data is sent:
– User messages/questions submitted through the chatbot
– Website content (post titles, excerpts, and content) when indexing is performed
– API key for authentication
– No personally identifiable information (PII) is sent without user consent

Installation
- Upload the plugin files to
/wp-content/plugins/captura-chatbot/ - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- Go to Captura settings and enter your Google Gemini API key
- Configure your chatbot settings
- Index your content for the knowledge base
- The chatbot widget will appear on your website

- Visit https://ai.google.dev/
- Sign in with your Google account
- Navigate to “Get API Key”
- Create a new API key
- Copy the API key and paste it in the plugin settings
