## Description

BPAI Chat is a lightweight WordPress connector for the hosted BPAI customer support
platform.

Setup is intentionally simple:

 1. Install and activate BPAI Chat.
 2. Open Settings > BPAI Chat.
 3. Choose Connect BPAI.
 4. Confirm the secure BPAI email or sign in to an existing BPAI workspace.
 5. BPAI issues an installation record and the plugin begins loading the hosted widget.
    BPAI controls when the connected chat becomes available.

The plugin automatically supplies the WordPress website URL, site name and the administrator
who started the connection. Customers do not need to enter a Website Key, tenant
ID, inbox ID, API key, Chatwoot setting or widget code.

New WordPress customers receive independent BPAI administrator access by email.
Existing BPAI administrators can sign in and attach the WordPress website to their
current BPAI workspace instead of creating another account.

After setup, use https://bpai.in/admin-login for advanced controls, including customer
conversations, AI fine-tuning, business information, team access, insights and additional
communication channels such as WhatsApp and email.

WooCommerce websites use the same BPAI Chat plugin. No separate WooCommerce chat
plugin is required.

### Why BPAI Chat?

BPAI Chat provides a secure, zero-configuration connection between WordPress and
a new or existing BPAI workspace.

Unlike integrations that require administrators to manually copy and configure API
credentials or widget identifiers, BPAI Chat automatically:

 * Detects the WordPress website and site name.
 * Uses the authenticated WordPress administrator to begin the connection.
 * Registers the website with the BPAI service.
 * Verifies the connection through BPAI.
 * Resolves the correct chat configuration from an opaque installation identifier.
 * Begins loading the hosted customer chat widget after BPAI issues an installation
   identifier.

The BPAI platform combines AI-assisted customer support with human handoff, centralized
customer conversations, team access, configurable business information, insights
and additional communication channels.

### External Services

BPAI Chat connects this WordPress website to the hosted BPAI customer support service
operated by Brightpath AI.

The external service is required for account verification, workspace management,
chat configuration, customer conversations, AI-assisted responses, human support
and other BPAI platform features.

#### Information sent during connection

When an administrator chooses Connect BPAI, the plugin sends the following information
to BPAI:

 * Website URL.
 * Website name.
 * Administrator email address.
 * Administrator display name.
 * WordPress version.
 * BPAI Chat plugin version.
 * Whether WooCommerce is active.
 * WordPress callback URL.

This information is sent only after an authorized WordPress administrator intentionally
selects Connect BPAI.

#### Connection status and disconnection

After the connection process starts, the plugin sends its BPAI installation identifier
and connection token to BPAI when:

 * Checking the connection status.
 * Disconnecting the WordPress website from BPAI.

The connection token is used for communication between the WordPress plugin and
the BPAI service. It is not displayed on the public website.

#### BPAI chat widget

After BPAI creates an installation record, the plugin loads the BPAI chat widget
unless the installation status is disconnected. The hosted BPAI service controls
whether the chat is ready for visitors.

https://bpai.in/api/widget/v2/loader.js

The externally loaded BPAI widget is an essential client component of the hosted
BPAI customer support service. It allows website visitors to communicate with the
connected BPAI workspace.

The widget is not used to install, download or update this WordPress plugin. It
does not provide an editor for executing administrator-supplied PHP or JavaScript
code.

Information that visitors voluntarily submit through the chat widget, such as messages
and contact information, is transmitted to and processed by BPAI to provide the
requested customer support service.

Depending on the BPAI configuration and how visitors use the widget, BPAI may also
process technical and contextual information required to operate the service, such
as the current page URL, browser information, session information and message timestamps.

Website administrators are responsible for informing visitors about their use of
BPAI and updating their website privacy policy where required.

## FAQ

### Do I need a BPAI Website Key?

No. BPAI resolves the correct widget configuration automatically using the secure
installation record created during the connection process.

### Do I need to enter an API key or tenant ID?

No. You do not need to manually enter a Website Key, API key, tenant ID, inbox ID
or widget code.

### Do I need a separate BPAI account?

You receive independent access to a BPAI workspace.

A new WordPress administrator can create a BPAI workspace through the connection
flow. If you already administer a BPAI workspace, sign in during the connection
process and attach the WordPress website to your existing workspace.

### Where do I reply to customers?

Use the BPAI workspace at:

https://bpai.in/admin-login

The WordPress plugin remains intentionally lightweight. Customer conversations,
AI controls, teams, insights and channel integrations are managed through the BPAI
workspace.

### What information is sent to BPAI when I connect?

When an administrator chooses Connect BPAI, the plugin sends the website URL, website
name, administrator email address, administrator display name, WordPress version,
plugin version, WooCommerce status and WordPress callback URL.

The complete details are provided in the External Services section of this readme.

### What visitor information does BPAI process?

When the widget is active, messages and other information voluntarily submitted
by website visitors are sent to BPAI to provide customer support.

BPAI may also process technical and contextual information required to operate the
chat service, such as session information, the current page URL, browser information
and message timestamps.

For additional information, review the BPAI Privacy Policy:

https://bpai.in/privacy

### When is the external BPAI JavaScript loaded?

The BPAI widget JavaScript is loaded after BPAI creates an installation record for
the website, unless that installation is marked as disconnected. The script may
therefore be requested while authorization is still pending. BPAI controls whether
the chat itself is ready and available to visitors.

The script is an essential part of the hosted BPAI customer support service. It
is not used to install or update the WordPress plugin and does not allow administrators
or visitors to execute arbitrary code.

### What happens if I disconnect the website?

The local WordPress connection is removed and the BPAI widget stops loading on the
website.

Disconnecting the website does not delete the BPAI workspace, users, conversation
history, AI configuration or other connected channels.

### What happens if I uninstall the plugin?

Uninstalling BPAI Chat removes the locally stored BPAI connection information from
WordPress, and the widget stops loading.

Uninstalling the plugin does not request deletion of your BPAI account, workspace,
users, conversations, AI configuration or other information stored by the BPAI service.

To request deletion of BPAI-hosted information, follow the instructions in the BPAI
Privacy Policy or contact BPAI using the details published on https://bpai.in/.

### Is WooCommerce supported?

Yes. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so the same BPAI Chat plugin provides the website
chat integration. No separate WooCommerce plugin is required.

### Does BPAI Chat contain a trial timer or local feature restrictions?

No. The WordPress plugin does not contain a trial timer, licence-validation system,
local feature paywall or code that disables its included functionality after a usage
limit.

Some capabilities of the hosted BPAI service may depend on the BPAI service plan.
Current service information is available from BPAI.

   connection form.
 * Uses a pending Playground profile email automatically when WordPress has not
   activated that profile change yet.
 * Keeps normal WordPress websites tied to the authenticated administrator email.
 * Retains the unified bpai.in API and safe transport diagnostics.
 * Expanded documentation of the hosted BPAI service and transmitted information.

 * Replaced manual Website Key setup with zero-configuration Connect BPAI onboarding.
 * Automatically detects the WordPress website, site name and administrator.
 * Supports both new BPAI customers and existing BPAI administrators.
