## Description

**Billit Invoicing for myDATA** automatically sends every order to Billit, which

issues the correct myDATA document — receipt or invoice — and transmits it to the
Greek tax authority (AADE). No manual data entry, no second system to maintain.

**What is myDATA?** myDATA (“my Digital Accounting and Tax Application”) is
 the
official electronic bookkeeping platform of the Greek Independent Authority for
Public Revenue (AADE) — a public government service, not a brand. Every business
in Greece is legally required to transmit its sales documents (receipts and invoices)
to myDATA. This plugin is developed by Billit and is not affiliated with or endorsed
by AADE.

**Who is this for?** This plugin is useful only to businesses in Greece that
 must
report to myDATA. Because its audience is Greek, the merchant-facing text in the
plugin — and Billit’s terms and privacy policy — are written in Greek.

#### Connect in a few clicks

Billit Invoicing for myDATA connects itself: click
 “Σύνδεση με Billit” (“Connect
with Billit”) in the plugin settings, approve the connection from your Billit account,
and you land back already connected. No API keys to copy, no code.

#### Setup status at a glance

After you connect, the settings screen shows a status card: whether a myDATA
 channel
is active, whether both document types (receipt and invoice) exist, GSIS credentials
for VAT-number autofill, and the default myDATA classification mapping. Each unmet
item links straight to the Billit page that fixes it. While you set up, you can
keep the store in test mode — documents are created, nothing is transmitted.

#### Orders are never silently lost

If something can’t be verified (e.g. a VAT number, a product, an amount),
 the order
isn’t lost or silently failed: a draft document is created in Billit, you get a
notification email, and the order shows “Πρόχειρο — χρειάζεται έλεγχο” (“Draft —
needs review”) with a direct link to finish it.

#### What it automates

 * Receipt or invoice depending on the customer’s choice at checkout, with
    the
ΑΦΜ (VAT number) / ΔΟΥ (tax office) / company name / activity fields.
 * Autofill of company details from the VAT number at checkout (never blocks
    checkout
completion if the lookup is slow or fails).
 * MARK and a document link on the order screen, with a “check status”
    button.
 * Product sync to Billit whenever you save a product.

#### What you need

A Billit account (free to create during setup) and an active WooCommerce
 8.9+ install.
Nothing else.

### External services

This plugin connects your store to **Billit** (https://billit.io), a
 third-party
invoicing service, to issue myDATA documents for your WooCommerce orders and transmit
them to the Greek tax authority (AADE). The plugin is free; issuing documents requires
a Billit account (a paid service). Nothing is sent anywhere until you connect your
store to Billit.

#### What is sent, and when

When an order reaches the status you configure (e.g. “Completed”), the
 plugin sends
that order to Billit so Billit can issue the document. The data sent includes: the
order number, totals and line items, and the customer’s name, billing/shipping address,
email and phone. For a business invoice it also sends the VAT number (ΑΦΜ), tax
office (ΔΟΥ), company name and activity.

If you enable the optional checkout VAT-number autofill, the ΑΦΜ typed at
 checkout
is sent to Billit to look up the public Greek business registry (via GSIS/AADE)
and fill in the company details.

The plugin also periodically fetches, from Billit, the status of your
 account setup
and of documents already issued. No data is sent to any service other than Billit.

#### Terms and privacy

By connecting your store you agree to Billit’s terms, and your and your
 customers’
data is processed by Billit as described in its privacy policy. Please review both
before connecting:

 * Billit Terms of Use (in Greek): https://billit.io/terms
 * Billit Privacy Policy (in Greek): https://billit.io/privacy

## Installation

 1. Upload and activate the plugin like any other WordPress plugin.
 2. Go to **WooCommerce › Ρυθμίσεις › Billit** (WooCommerce › Settings › Billit).
 3. Click **“Σύνδεση με Billit”** (“Connect with Billit”) and approve the connection
    in Billit.
 4. Check the “Κατάσταση εγκατάστασης Billit” (Billit setup status) card and fix anything
that isn’t green (myDATA channel, document types, GSIS, classification mapping).
 5. Done — the next order that reaches the status you chose (e.g. “Ολοκληρωμένη”, Completed)
    is sent automatically.

## FAQ

### Do I need a Billit account?

Yes, but you can create one for free while connecting if you don’t already
 have
one. Documents are issued through your Billit account.

### How do I connect my store?

In the plugin settings, click “Σύνδεση με Billit” (“Connect with Billit”)
 and approve
from your Billit account — no values are copied by hand. If your site isn’t reachable
from Billit (e.g. local development, basic auth), there is a manual token/secret
connection on the same page.

### What happens if a document fails?

There are two different cases. If the order never reaches Billit (a network
 problem),
the plugin retries automatically (after 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, 2 h and 12 h) and
shows a “Retry” button if needed. If the order reaches Billit but something can’t
be verified (e.g. the VAT number), it isn’t lost: a draft document is created, you
get an email, and the order shows “Πρόχειρο — χρειάζεται έλεγχο” (“Draft — needs
review”) with a link to finish it in Billit.

### Does it support cash on delivery (COD)?

Yes, the COD fee is added as a separate line on the document. For a
 cancellation
or refund, the credit note is issued manually from your Billit account.

### Does it work with the new block-based checkout?

Yes, the VAT number / tax office / company name / activity fields work in
 both
the block-based and the classic checkout. In v1 the fields are always shown in the
block checkout (they are not shown or hidden depending on the document type).

### What about my existing documents?

v1 does not import past orders — it covers orders from the moment you
 connect onwards.
