The free edition focuses on a complete, useful customer-support workflow without requiring a hosted BeastThemes account or a proprietary AI service. You provide the API key for the AI provider you choose. Key capabilities: * AI-powered storefront chat. * OpenAI and Anthropic Claude provider support. * Provider-aware model selection. * Bring-your-own API key architecture.* Business name and business context. * Curated manual FAQs that are checked before AI generation. * Deterministic WooCommerce product facts such as published product count and recent product listings. * Secure WooCommerce order-status lookup using the order number and billing email. * Floating chat widget with position, color, and welcome-message controls. * Gutenberg block for an inline chat widget. * [beastthemes_ai_support] shortcode for an inline chat widget. * Conversation logs for recent support exchanges.* Diagnostic activity logs with trace IDs and workflow stages. * Configurable data retention and optional uninstall cleanup. * WordPress privacy-policy, personal-data export, and personal-data erasure integration. The free plugin does not include full catalog RAG, embeddings, automatic indexing, bookings, voice, WhatsApp, Telegram, multi-agent workflows, advanced analytics, automations, or white-label controls. Those are separate commercial functionality and are not required for the free plugin to operate. ### Secure order lookup When order lookup is enabled, the plugin checks the real WooCommerce order data rather than asking the AI model to guess an order status. Customers must provide an order number and the billing email used on the order. If the order number is supplied first, the plugin temporarily keeps that order reference for the next step and requires the matching billing email before returning order details. The plugin does not expose an order to a public visitor based on an order number alone. ### External Services BeastThemes AI Support for WooCommerce connects to third-party AI APIs only after a site administrator configures an AI provider and supplies an API key. ### OpenAI Service: OpenAI API Purpose: Generate AI responses for customer chat. Data sent: Customer chat messages, configured business context, and the conversation context required to generate the response. Data sent: Customer chat messages, configured business context, and the conversation context required to generate the response. Terms: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/ commercial-terms Privacy: https://privacy.anthropic.com/ The plugin does not send customer chat data to these services until an administrator configures the corresponding provider and a chat request is made. ### Privacy The plugin can store: * Customer chat messages and AI responses. * A random session identifier used to keep a conversation together. * Conversation intent and whether the response was resolved. * Diagnostic activity such as endpoint, workflow stage, HTTP status, trace ID, and diagnostic context. The plugin does not intentionally store a visitor IP address in its conversation or activity tables. A short-lived hashed rate-limit key may be stored by WordPress transients to prevent excessive public API requests. A configurable retention period removes old conversation and activity records automatically. The default is 30 days. The plugin integrates with the WordPress Personal Data Exporter and Personal Data Eraser. If a customer requests an export or erasure through WordPress privacy tools, conversation records containing the supplied email address can be exported or removed. Site owners should also review the privacy policies and data-processing terms of the selected AI provider and disclose the use of that provider in their site’s privacy policy. ### Upgrade to Pro BeastThemes AI Support for WooCommerce Pro builds on everything in the free plugin and adds full catalog intelligence, more channels, and deeper automation for stores that want a more complete AI support experience. Check the newest trace and look for the first error event. Confirm that the selected provider API key is valid and that the selected model is available to your provider account. #### Order lookup asks for the email again The billing email must exactly match the email stored on the WooCommerce order. The plugin will not reveal order details when the verification fails. #### The widget does not appear Make sure the plugin is active, the frontend is loading normally, and no security or optimization plugin is blocking the plugin’s local JavaScript. Save the settings and test the storefront widget. You can also add the inline widget with the Gutenberg block named “AI Agent Chat Widget” or with the [beastthemes_ai_support] shortcode. ## FAQ ### Does the plugin include an AI service? No. The plugin uses a bring-your-own-key model. You connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API account. ### Do I need WooCommerce? Yes. WooCommerce is a required plugin dependency because the product and order features use WooCommerce data. ### Can the AI invent an order status? Order-status requests are routed to WooCommerce’s real order data. The AI model is not used to estimate or invent an order status. ### Can I use the plugin without an API key? You can install and configure the plugin, but AI-generated answers require a valid API key from the selected provider. Manual FAQs and deterministic WooCommerce features do not require an AI response. ### Does the free version include full RAG? No. The free edition provides curated FAQs and deterministic WooCommerce product facts.
