azurecurve Points of Interest

Description

This plugin allows you to build a database of Points of Interest such as distilleries, castles, gardens, country parks, theme parks and so on. Includes both single item and archive views of the created Points of Interest.

The plugin uses a custom post type to separate the Points of Interest from the standard WordPress post types.

Custom taxonomies are available for Type, Owner, Continent, Country and Region.

This plugin is multisite compatible and supports language translations.

Installation

Deploy plugin

  • If deploying from the WordPress plugins page, click the Install button
  • Otherwise copy the azurecurve-points-of-interest folder into your plugins directory
  • Click the Activate button in the Plugin Manager
  • Load the Settings >> Permalinks page and click the Save button to ensure the custom taxonomies are available.

Configure plugin

  • Before the plugin can be used there are a few fields which need to be configured.
  • Under the Points of Interest menu, configure the required custom taxonomies for Type, Owner, Continent, Country and Region
  • Under the Points of Interest menu, click the Options link to set the default options for the plugin
  • Default templates for single Points of Interest and archives are available for the Twenty Thirteen theme. To customise them copy the templates into your themes folder.
