[[ [[ ## Installation 1. Upload the `smart-media-folders` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory, or install the plugin directly through the WordPress plugins screen. 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress. 3. Go to **Media -> Library** to see the new folders sidebar. 4. Customize your default active highlight color via **Settings -> Smart Media Folders**. ## FAQ ### Does deleting a folder delete the actual files? Yes! The “Delete” option uses a recursive deep-delete engine that removes the folder taxonomy, its child folders, and permanently deletes all media attachments inside them from your server. Please use caution as this cannot be undone. ### How can I change a folder’s color? Simply right-click on any folder card inside the Media Grid layout, click “Change Color”, select your preferred palette, and hit save! ### Does it slow down my WordPress Admin? Not at all.
