The Free plugin contains the manual publishing functionality described on this page. Premium is a separate plugin/product that adds automation, scheduling, queues and additional content types. #### Free features * Connect an Instagram professional account. * Manually publish WordPress Posts with a featured image. * Publish from the plugin dashboard or from the Post editor. * Instagram status column on the Posts list screen. * Test Connection and Diagnostics tools. * Duplicate protection for Posts already published through the plugin. * Free edition attribution is added to Instagram captions: “Published with Arrow Social Image Publisher”. * Upgrade to Premium information is shown only inside WordPress admin. #### Premium is available separately The separate Premium product can add automatic publishing, scheduling, publishing queues, retry controls, Pages, WooCommerce Products and supported custom post types. ### External Services This plugin connects to external services only when needed for Instagram account connection, connection testing, or publishing. #### Arrow Design Instagram connection service The plugin uses the Arrow Design connection service at arrowdesign.ie to complete the Instagram OAuth connection flow. When an administrator starts a connection, the plugin sends the site’s callback URL, site URL, site name and a one-time OAuth state value to the Arrow Design connection service. After Instagram authorisation, the plugin sends a short-lived handoff value, the OAuth state value and callback URL back to the Arrow Design service to claim the connection result. The service returns the connected Instagram account ID, username, access token and token lifetime to the WordPress site. When testing a connection, the plugin sends the stored Instagram access token to request the connected account profile. When publishing, the plugin sends the connected Instagram account ID, access token, featured-image URL and generated caption to Instagram, then sends the returned media-container ID to complete publication. Install and activate Arrow Social Image Publisher. 2. Open Instagram Publisher in WordPress admin. 3. Connect an Instagram professional account. 4. Run Test Connection or Diagnostics if desired. 5. Publish a WordPress Post with a publicly accessible HTTPS featured image. 6. Use the Instagram box in the Post editor or the plugin Dashboard to publish it manually. ## FAQ ### Does the Free plugin publish automatically? No. The Free plugin publishes Posts only when an authorised user explicitly clicks a publish button. ### Does the Free plugin contain Premium queue or scheduling functionality? No. Premium automation, queue and scheduling code is not included in the Free plugin. ### Does the Free plugin add attribution to my Instagram caption? Yes. The Free edition adds the text-only caption suffix “Published with Arrow Social Image Publisher”. No external link is added to the Instagram caption. ### Why does the plugin use an Arrow Design connection service? The connection service completes the Instagram OAuth handoff without exposing application credentials inside the WordPress plugin.
