## Description

Aomark Writer connects WordPress to the hosted [Aomark Writer service](https://aomark.io/seo-writer/).
An Aomark account is required, and content generation may require a paid plan or
article credits.

Create and review content in Aomark, then use this plugin to publish or schedule
the approved content on your WordPress site. The plugin supports posts, categories,
tags, featured images, Gutenberg or HTML content, scheduling, and Aomark-generated
SEO metadata.

#### Key Features

 * Site-specific authentication without WordPress application passwords
 * Replay protection for publishing requests
 * Immediate or scheduled publishing
 * Featured-image sideloading and optional site-logo branding
 * Category and tag assignment
 * Gutenberg, HTML, and plain-text content
 * Aomark-generated SEO title, description, FAQ, and JSON-LD metadata
 * Pull-based publishing fallback for hosts that block inbound REST requests

#### How It Works

 1. Install and activate the plugin.
 2. Open Aomark Writer in WordPress, or Aomark Suite > Writer when Suite is active.
 3. Choose “Connect to Aomark” and complete the secure connection in Aomark.
 4. Create and approve content in Aomark.
 5. Publish or schedule that content on the connected WordPress site.

### External Service

This plugin relies on the Aomark Writer service operated by Aomark Digital LLC at`
https://app.aomark.io/`.

The plugin first contacts Aomark when a WordPress administrator chooses “Connect
to Aomark”. During connection it sends the site URL, product identifier, a temporary
connection code, and a temporary device credential.

While the site remains connected, the plugin may contact Aomark to:

 * show Writer plan and usage information;
 * test or revoke the connection;
 * check for Aomark publishing jobs approximately every 30 seconds through WP-Cron;
 * retrieve Aomark-generated content approved for publishing; and
 * report whether WordPress created or updated the requested post.

These requests can include the site URL, plugin and protocol versions, site ID and
authentication token, temporary connection credentials, publishing job/request/lease
identifiers, and the resulting WordPress post ID, status, and permalink. If publishing
fails, a sanitized error code and message may be returned to Aomark.

The plugin does not upload locally authored WordPress post content to Aomark. It
retrieves only content already created in the user’s Aomark account for publishing.

When an approved publishing payload contains a remote featured image or branding
image, WordPress downloads that image from the supplied URL. The remote image host
receives a normal server request.

If an administrator submits the optional support form, WordPress emails `admin@aomark.
io` with the administrator’s email address, subject and message, WordPress/PHP/plugin
versions, site and page URL, and UTC time. Nothing is sent through this form until
the administrator submits it.

### Privacy

The WordPress.org build contains no analytics or telemetry and does not contact
Aomark merely because it is activated. An administrator must start the connection
process before service requests begin.

The site ID and authentication token are stored in the WordPress options table while
connected. Temporary connection and publishing state is stored in WordPress options
or transients. Disconnecting removes the connection credentials and stops publishing
pickup. Uninstalling removes the stored connection credentials and scheduled pickup
event.

## FAQ

### Is an Aomark account required?

Yes. This plugin is a connector for the hosted Aomark Writer service. An account
is required, and content generation may require a paid plan or article credits.

### Does activation send data to Aomark?

No. The plugin first contacts Aomark after a WordPress administrator starts the
connection process.

### What happens if I disconnect?

The stored site credentials are removed, publishing pickup stops, and Aomark can
no longer publish to the site until it is connected again.

### Why not use WordPress application passwords?

Aomark Writer uses purpose-built, site-specific authentication limited to its publishing
workflow instead of a general WordPress application password.

### Does this work with WordPress Multisite?

Yes, but each site in the network needs its own connection.

### What content formats are supported?

The plugin supports serialized Gutenberg blocks, sanitized HTML, and plain text.
