## Description

Suppliers send price lists as 100-page PDFs, spreadsheets with merged cells, sometimes
photos
of printed pages. This plugin sends that file to the MicroCity engine, which
reads it and returns store-ready product data: names, SKUs, categories, prices,
variants. You review the result inside wp-admin, then the plugin creates the products
in WooCommerce as drafts.

 * Variable products with linked variations, built automatically from variant rows.
 * Anything the engine cannot read properly is flagged, not guessed.
 * Products are created locally through WooCommerce functions — your WooCommerce
   keys never
    leave your site.

### External services

This plugin connects to the A2DB service at microcitylabs.com, operated by MicroCity

Solutions Ltd (UK). When you upload a supplier file, the file and your A2DB API
key are sent to the service so the engine can read the file and return structured
product data. No other data from your site is sent. An account (free tier available)
is required.

## Installation

 1. Install and activate the plugin (WooCommerce must be active).
 2. Create a free account at microcitylabs.com and copy your API key from the account
    page.
 3. In wp-admin go to WooCommerce Anything to Database, paste the key, press “Test
    connection”.
 4. Upload a supplier file and review the result before creating products.

## FAQ

### Does it change my live products?

No. New products are created as drafts for you to review. Nothing is published without
you.

### What file types work?

PDF, Excel (xlsx/xls), CSV, and images (scans or photos of printed pages).

### My upload never finishes

Some hosting firewalls silently stall uploads whose file names contain unusual characters
(
spaces, “@” and similar). Rename the file to plain letters and numbers — e.g. supplier-
list-august.xlsx — and try again.

## Changelog

#### 0.3.5

 * Plugin folder and text domain renamed to anything-to-database to match the WordPress.
   org slug. Settings are kept.

#### 0.3.4

 * Plugin URI now points at the plugin page (WordPress.org requires it to differ
   from the author URI).

#### 0.3.3

 * Plugin Check pass: guarded the upload file name, escaped the page counters, tested
   up to WordPress 7.1.

#### 0.3.2

 * Renamed to “Anything to Database Supplier Import for WooCommerce” (same plugin,
   same settings).
 * Contributor handle updated.

#### 0.3.1

 * Declared WooCommerce as a required plugin (Requires Plugins header).
 * Confirmed compatibility with WordPress 7.0.

#### 0.3.0

 * Column mapping panel: correct which column is the name, SKU, price, description,
brand or quantity before creating products.
 * Multi-page PDFs: read page by page (“Read page 2 of N”), rows merge into one
list; a failed later page no longer loses the pages already read.

#### 0.2.0

 * Upload a supplier file from wp-admin, review the rows, create the products as
WooCommerce drafts (simple + variable with variations). PDF/photo pages are read
by the engine with a progress check.

#### 0.1.0

 * First version: settings, connection test, service disclosure.
