The plugin is designed for publishers, jewelry websites, financial education websites, and regional price portals. It supports English, Arabic, and Urdu front-end output, including RTL layouts. Key features: * Current gold and silver references in supported local currencies. * Gold prices for 24K, 22K, 21K, 18K, and 14K. * Gram, troy ounce, kilogram, and supported tola views. * Optional indicative local gold estimates when the selected AlyawmGold market provides them. * Historical gold and silver charts in USD per troy ounce. * Visitor controls for market and metal, plus interactive chart period and value selection. * Server-side requests; no API key is exposed to visitors. * WordPress transient caching and a last-successful-data fallback. * Table, cards, compact, single-price, ticker, and slim header-bar layouts. * Shortcode choices for market, width, minimum price-widget height, and chart height. * Light, dark, and automatic themes. * No advertising, visitor tracking, or remote JavaScript/CSS. * Optional public attribution, disabled by default. * The header bar hides the native scrollbar while retaining touch, keyboard, and arrow-button navigation. * The shortcode builder shows a live preview of the selected widget before you copy its code. Set `controls="on"` to let visitors change market and metal, or `controls="off"` for a compact bar. Price-widget `height` is a minimum height: content can grow on narrow screens. `width` accepts `auto`,` full`, a pixel value such as `900px` (bounded to 240–1600 px), or a percentage such as `75%` (bounded to 25–100%). Width never exceeds the containing theme column. History: ``` [alyawmgold_history metal="gold" period="30d" theme="auto" language="en"] ``` Supported history periods are `7d`, `30d`, `60d`, `90d`, `6m`, `1y`, and `5y`. Historical data in API v1 is intentionally shown in USD per troy ounce. The plugin does not convert old observations using today’s exchange rate. History also accepts `width`, and `height` controls the chart area from 220 to 600 px. In block themes, place a Shortcode block below the Header template part in the Site Editor to show the price bar across a template. Placement in classic themes depends on the theme’s template or widget areas. #### External service This plugin connects to the AlyawmGold public API at `https://alyawmgold.com/api/ v1` to obtain current and historical precious-metal data. This connection is necessary for the plugin’s displayed prices and charts. Service endpoints used: * `https://alyawmgold.com/api/v1/spot/latest` for current prices. * `https://alyawmgold.com/api/v1/history` for historical data. When a page containing a plugin shortcode is rendered and its local cache has expired, the WordPress server sends the selected country, metal, interval, and limit parameters required for that display. The server IP address and a plugin/version User-Agent are also visible as part of a normal HTTPS request. The plugin does not send visitor IP addresses, visitor cookies, account information, post content, comments, or behavioral analytics to AlyawmGold. Responses are cached in the WordPress database. A bounded set of last successful responses is retained so a website can continue to show clearly marked cached data during a temporary service failure. By configuring and using the plugin, the site administrator requests data from this service. It does not create visitor cookies or collect visitor analytics. Deleting the plugin removes its settings and tracked caches. ## Installation 1. Install AlyawmGold Prices through the WordPress plugin screen, or upload the `alyawmgold- prices` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Open Settings > AlyawmGold Prices and choose the default market and appearance. 4. Add `[alyawmgold_prices]` or `[alyawmgold_history]` to a post, page, or shortcode- compatible widget. ## FAQ ### Do I need an API key? No. AlyawmGold API v1 currently provides anonymous public access. The plugin caches responses and respects the service’s rate limits. ### Which markets are supported? Use one of the supported market codes: `AE`, `SA`, `KW`, `QA`, `BH`, `OM`, or `USD`. ### Why is historical data only in USD per troy ounce? API v1 does not have a complete historical foreign-exchange series. Converting old prices with today’s exchange rate would be misleading, so the history widget preserves the original USD-per-troy-ounce contract. ### What is an indicative local estimate? For selected markets, AlyawmGold may provide a calibrated local estimate. It is informational, not a dealer quote, and excludes individual shop premiums, making charges, taxes, and fees. ### What happens if the API is temporarily unavailable? If the website has a previously successful response for the same request, the plugin displays it with a visible cached-data notice. If no saved response exists, it displays an accessible temporary-unavailable message. ### Does the plugin add a backlink? Not by default. A site administrator may explicitly enable a small “Prices powered by AlyawmGold” credit in the settings. The plugin works fully when attribution is disabled. ### Does the plugin track visitors?
