The API is a powerful tool that uses advanced AI technology to generate text based on a prompt. The block provides a simple text field where you can enter your prompt. Once you’ve entered your prompt, you can click the “Send” button to submit your request to the API. The API will then generate your content and return it to the block. Generated content is added to the page, above the AI block as multiple paragraph blocks contained in a single Group block. This makes it easy to edit or delete all of the generated blocks in one go. This plugin provides minimal settings that are available in the block’s sidebar. You can sign up for an API key on the OpenAI website. https://openai.com/api/ ### How do I use the AI Block? To use the AI Block plugin, simply add the AI Block block to your page or post. You can then use the block to generate text using the OpenAI ChatGPT API. An example of a prompt you might send to the AI Block plugin is: ``` write a blog post about the benefits of using AI Block ``` The AI Block plugin will then generate paragraph blocks based on the prompt you send it. ### Can this plugin generate images? Not yet. The AI Block plugin currently only supports text generation, however, we are working on adding support for image generation in the future. ### How do tokens work? One token is equal to approximately 4 characters of text. For example, if you set the number of tokens to 100, the AI Block plugin will generate approximately 400 characters of text. The average length of a blog post is 1,000 words, which is approximately 4,000 characters. If you set the number of tokens to 1,000, the AI Block plugin will generate approximately 4,000 characters of text. The average length of a word is 5 characters. If you set the number of tokens to 1,000, the AI Block plugin will generate approximately 5,000 words of text. ### How do I use the AI Block block? To use the AI Block block, simply add it to the Site Editor and enter your seed text. Then, click the “Generate Text” button to generate text using the OpenAI ChatGPT API. ### Can I customize the AI Block block? Customization settings coming soon. ### Is the AI Block plugin free to use?
