The concept itself is great if you manage many sites and have clients who also are constantly poking around. When I had some questions about table sizes and optimization, Robert offered great support. We use MainWP for years for centralized management of 30+ sites. It is a great and powerful tool even in its free version, with high respect for the privacy& security of our data, which is increasingly important nowadays (all is stored on your servers NOT on MainWP servers). Problems can arise if you want to check out who did what on each of those sites, if there are more than one admin on the sites. For that purpose there are many good and useful tools out there, but we use WP Security Audit Log plugin as the most powerful and most simple to use at the same time. However, so far we had to login into each and every site we maintain to check those WP Security Audit logs… but not anymore, if you use and combine two WP plugins “superstars” – WP Security Audit Log & MainWP: in this case you can use free extension, Activity Log For MainWP, and check ALL the logs from ALL the sites from the MainWP Dashboard–“ one to rule them all!” 🙂 Try it and you will see what I am talking about but be warned: this extension is highly addictive as you can do so much more in less time. This is an incredible surveillance combo for all sites you are maintaining, in order to have full and easy control of what is going on.
