WYSIWYG - Advanced toolbar visible as default

  1. Christoffer

    Helooz everybody!
    I don't see why the additional tools can't be visible as default, when a customer always need these tools (e.g. headings and paste from word) anyway. To be more specific, I mean the visual editor in WordPress where you have a button all the way to the right in the toolbar, next to the fullscreen-button.
    This annoys me everytime I create a new website for my customers.

    What's even worse is that if you show the additional tools on your computer, they still won't show on your customer's computer, because your preference is stored as a cookie on your computer only.

    It's such a small fix, yet nice to have!

    Many thanks!

    This should have been done a long time ago. Every screen has enough real-estate to have this enabled by default.

    Good idea.
    I use the following code in functions.php to make it appear by default:
    /* Show second row in wysiwig editor by default (kitchen sink)
    function unhide_kitchensink( $args ) {
    $args['wordpress_adv_hidden'] = false;
    return $args;
    add_filter( 'tiny_mce_before_init', 'unhide_kitchensink' );
