User friendly content builder

Hello people (and aliens of course :)!

Nowadays "special" content sections like columns, pullqoutes, tabs, toggles, etc are getting more and more common. Currently these sections are achieved by shortcodes which may become real messy and unreadable for average users.

I believe it's time to find or develop a visual content builder. Like these:

Not sure if you have seen the latest frontend editor for WP but I believe its heading in the right direction.

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-front-end-editor/

It allows for editing, adding post and pages all from the front end visually.

If they add the "bells and whistles" like columns, pullqoutes, tabs, toggles, etc etc, its going to be golden.

I'd love to see this as well. It would be great to be able to visually build a page by dragging and dropping widgets on the page. Wed' need some easy way to adjust the widgets to a grid system as well.

This would keep things simple within core. Then widget developers can easily offer up new types of "content" (widgets) that can be used for more advanced things like call-to-action sections, testimonials, sliders, etc.

    Hi Frens,

I have been working to architect the content builder for WP Sites for my clients and we implemented the Page layout builder plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-layout-builder/

This plugin has numerous features and you could fork it a little to match your needs too. Also this could be used for Bootstrap frameworks.

    Hope this plugin helps !

    Thanks
