Sort user according to date of registration

I seem to have a LOT of problem with spam registration. Unfortunately, I get at least 5 a day, and I am not able to delete them in bulk.

In the dashboard user control, if I am able to sort users according to the day they registered, I can sort them, select them and delete in bulk. Honestly, the "Delete" option in the dropdown box does not have any use because there surely cant be more than 2 users in one page which one would want to delete (generally).

Sorry to be mentioning, but Joomla has that option and also lets you show all the users in one page making it easy to select the users you want and deleting them.

Yup. It will be great if it is added to core. I dont see a point in installing a plugin just to be able to sort users.

I guess I am also getting a lot of spam registrations (I thought I was suddenly popular!). What is the danger of having spam user registrations? Do they have any control over the blog? I have not deleted any. If it's bad, how do you block them from registering as "user."

Go to your WP Admin Dashboard, click on Settings.

Under general settings is an option 'Allow anyone to register for this site' - Make sure it's unchecked.

For most people, there is no need to have any additional users.

You can't sort them in order due to limitations in WP.

This was the default in some old versions of WordPress (2.2.something). I don't know why it was changed.

For spambot control, WangGuard plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/wangguard/) seems to handle this well - it's "users" list is sorted from newest to oldest. I have just installed it, so I cannot guarantee it is good in all aspects, but it seems fine.
