set the "target" of the links in custom menu

    My suggestion would be to put, into the custom menus admin area, a "target" field to the links. It would be very useful for external links, for example, can change the target to "_blank" without hacks.

    (PS: I don't know to which category this idea applies, so, I selected "general")

    There already is a target field in Appearance/Menu :-)

    If it doesn't show for you, open Screen options and tick Link Target. The target options then show if you open the menu item with the down arrow.
