Security improvement

    Why do WP-users have to go through the pain of improving the security of their website? There are many instructions of how to do it - some of them given by WordPress and most of them include some coding. Why does WordPress not implement these steps from the beginning? Many newbies are unable to perform these steps - and hackers get the exact information where to look for security flaws.

    WordPress does as much as it can automatically, but since there are hundreds of web hosts and tens of thousands of plugins, it's impossible to magically do everything.

    In and of itself, WordPress core is secure. If you have a good host who handles their security, and you only use safe plugins, you're generally okay.
