Rewrite WordPress using MVC

Great idea. Make it Smarty friendly. Keep your code out of themes!

Ummm..., maybe, I don't talking about MVC... really.
But ATM, I'm writting my application in the following way, and I think it's doable for Wp Themes System and can be useful about a MVC pattern:

    For example:

(Only... alias "controllers" views for internal use: index.php, functions.php, search.php, etc...)

    (Static server for theme)

In this way, f.e., u can reject all petitions of wp-content dir.

Maybe obviously,... It's inspired in Zend Framework and others FW policies ^^!
Think WordPress can implement this structure.

*I know mod_rewrite can simulate this... but it's not a real protection of theme directory.

WordPress isn't being rewritten, per core team. If you feel an MVC version would be better, 'the joy of open source' means you are free to branch this baby and rewrite it any way you like. MVC, Python, whatever. Closing this thread since it won't be implemented. If you want to start another with a specific suggestion for improving current core model without a an overhaul, feel free to post that.
