Replace media library image

When you decide to replace an image, you should be able to do it directly in the media library. After replacement, the old image including the lower sizes should be deleted, all the lower sizes of the new image should be automatically generated (until now nothing new), but most of all, all the posts and places where the old image was included, should be updated with the new image.
Example: you have an image embedded in the home page, the same image is the featured image of a blog post, and you also have it in a widget. It would be great to go in the media library, replace that image and automatically have the new image in the home page, in the blog post and in the widget.

I actually Recommend this idea. If developers could create a field that would help us replace images by ID, it would be awesome.

Just like post titles, we have to edit it in one place only. Everywhere else it gets updated automatically.

But the con is if used carelessly, it could create more problems then solve it.

I definitely support this idea. Currently it is just circumstantial in my opinion.
