Queue (Add to queue) plugins for installation

Here is what I thought would make plugin installation more efficient.

Whenever we install plugins from the backend, we need to install 1 plugin at a time.

During installation, we leave 'Add new plugin' screen & have to come back to repeat the process for new plugin installations. That's like hitting 2 screens repeatedly.

    What can we do?

Can we not make "Add to queue" function, maybe for max 5 plugins at a time, which we can add to the queue & after when done selecting -- proceed for installation.

This way, we reduce the time & screens needed to come back to plugins section.

Partially, this is currently possible when we're Upgrading multiple plugin versions from 'Update Core'

This would be extremely useful for the Webmasters.

    Let me know your thoughts,
    Thanks & happy holidays everyone

You are already able to do it. Select multiple checkboxes and select a bulk action from dropdown.

I completely agree with this idea. When I set up a new site for a client, to install the plugins I need on the site is a chore. Having to go through the different pages is really unnecessary if queue functionality was implemented as suggested here.

It would be awesome to have this feature. Every time I setup a new WordPress for self, clients, friends, I have to install 10-15 plugins all manually one-by-one. Which takes a lot time & quite a boring process. So having this feature might also save us a bit if time.. But I would prefer around 10 as maximum limit.

    Using wp-cli:
wp plugin install buddypress bp-default-data jetpack [whatever]

Installing in a bulk. But the core feature would be nice (via checkboxes).

    Thanks Frank, Saket & Slava

Yes, I think this will immensely help the webmasters / agency's community - working with different clients & on different hosts.

    Hope this gets implemented,

    Looking forward :)
