An option to turn on/off the post preview.

I know this feature is already implemented by various plugins, but I'd prefer to have it out of the box and I like the idea of one less plugin hanging on my installation.

Some form of comment previewing (live and optional would be my preference) is long overdue to be included with the default distribution. It's useful having the choice to see what marked-up comments look like *before* posting so corrections can be made.

I like this idea as well. Having the page/post inline iframe preview as an option would serve both the people who prefer having multiple windows for previewing, and those who prefer it inline.

Given that the preview code itself is only a few lines of code, making it an option should not be too difficult and would please everyone, rather than one group of users.

I strongly agree! I don't even mind if the developers turn it off by default. But for goodness sake, give me the option of turning it back on without having to hack core files!!!

Or use the 2.2+ versions of WP.

I love this idea - a few days ago I was actually wondering why this hasn't been implemented yet.

This has been implemented, because Post Preview is now a link instead of an iframe preview.
