Override Option for Handcoded HTML

I would like to be able to disable the WYSIWYG editor and use only hand coded HTML. The editor is great most of the time. However, I have encountered problems with embedding <iframe> tags and other code snippets. If the code is something the editor does not recognize very strange things happen to the HTML.

I agree. I've lost count of how many times I've had to go and fix my mother's blog because the editor stuck in a bunch of <div> tags and didn't close them, causing all kinds of havoc with the page renders.

Totally with you on this one, I never use the WYSIWYG editor but the simple one has a mind of its own, too.

If you just want to deactivate the WYSIWYG-Editor you can do so for each user or for your whole blog.
This is already possible in the current release!

Even if you disable it - it still replaces line breaks with br's which can be a nightmare (hence my idea submission)

Tobias has the best answer here. The editor can be disabled on a per user basis or across the entire site.

Mod could possibly add this to implemented.
