More comfortable image handling
One reason i love blogging with blogdesk (www.blogdesk.org) is the very comfortable image handling. I love posting an image to my post (normaly a small one or a thumbnail only, left aligned within the first paragraph) but that is a really hard job with pure wordpress.
There are several online tools like http://pixer.us/ that show what's possible in image editing online.
A comfortable image handling tool with basic editing function like resize, crop, rotate would be really great. and think of different handling for thumbnails and "big images" as thumbnails and big images not always should have the same size.
Even if operations like resizing, cropping etc are not supported, at least better support for uploading/deleting the images should be included. Like batch uploading of images, drag n drop placement of images in the post, uploading to a different server(flickr, gallery etc) and linking to them etc.
I think important things first.
- Inline upload is okay.
- But import to the right place in content - hmmm
- Then floating - hmmmmm
- Then alt-Text - another button.
This should be more comfortable.
Thanks for the tip about blogdesk.com. Unfortunately, it's not for Mac users, and doesn't plan to be.
Anyone have any image-handling suggestions for a new Mac user?
There could be something built in to this thing and I wouldn't know it yet.
There is now a fancy image editor in WP that takes care of all this.
