Let everybody see when a comment has been edited

When a site admin edits a comment by one of his visitors, a mention like "edited on _DATE_ by _ADMIN_NAME_" should be added to the comment.

Being able to edit comments without anybody but the comment author knowing can give site admins an unfair advantage in the discussion.

This is plugin territory. Displaying a message like this should be the site owner's decision. A site owner is technically the king of the site. They can run it how they see fit, even if this means having an unfair advantage in discussions. Do you really think a blog's readers are going to stick around if the blogger is changing the comments anyway?

Plus, I routinely edit comments to fix broken links and HTML all the time. There's no point in displaying a message that it was edited.

Lets WordPress users display lists of files in their pages and posts in a myriad of interesting ways.

Allows users to easily display lists of files in their pages and posts. Supply the folder and various options and you can generate a list of files with hyperlinks to each file making it downloadable. Extensive options let you sort and filter files. You can include file size, date, and even an icon as part of the file list. You can even display lists of MP3s in popular audio players. The plugin admin pages also allow you to conveniently upload and delete files. This is a easy way for organizations, groups, and clubs to share files with members. For example, Home Owner Associations have used this plugin to list their minutes. Music websites use this plugin to allow their users to show off their music.

What's the secret code for displaying a list of files in my pages or posts?

To use, add the List Yo' Files shortcode ("listyofiles") enclosed in brackets to the text of your page or post and specify the folder name with the "folder" directive. For example: [listyofiles folder="wp-content/gallery/my-new-gallery"] The plugin will then generate a list of files with a link to each so that every file is downloadable. If you've enabled User Folders, non-admin users will have access to express shortcodes that allow them to display files with just a little typing. See the plugin Usage page for extensive instructions.

Is it possible to sort files, or restrict certain files from being displayed?

It sure is. To sort files, use the "sort" option. To only display certain file types, use the "filter" option. See the plugin Usage page for extensive instructions.

= How do I style the file table elements?

Have a look at the 'lyf_table_styles.css' file in the 'css' folder. This file defines the styles that will be used when defining tables. You can edit that file to your specification and then check the "Use table stylesheet" checkbox in the Administer area.

The file icon that I want to display isn't available. What can I do?

You can upload a 16x16 png file for the file type that you'd like to support. The name of the file needs to match the extension that you want to display. All letters should be lowercase. For example, if you want to provide an icon for mp3 files, you would need to upload a file called "mp3.png" to the List Yo' Files plugin's "icons" folder.

If you want to share a single icon across many different file types, then, for now, you need to duplicate each png file for each extension that you want to support.

How can I fix this error: Warning: strpos() [function.strpos]: Empty delimiter. in /home/....../wp-includes/compat.php on line 55

You are likely running version 4.x of PHP. Contact your hosting company to upgrade you to 5.x. For more information, go here.

Why are my users getting the message "Failed to upload. Contact your admin about enabling your user folder." when uploading on the front end?

Log in as admin to your WordPress site and ensure that the "Enable User Folders" checkbox is checked. Without this option set, List Yo' Files doesn't know where to put the user's files.

I would like to help localize List Yo' Files. How should I start?

Assuming you're familiar with localizing in WordPress, you simply need to go to the 'lang' folder of the plugin and use the .pot file to see the strings that need to be translated into your language.

How do I make suggestions or report bugs for this plugin?

Just go to to the List Yo' Files site and follow the instructions.

Displays the most recent instant play movies and/or DVD's and Blu-Ray's shipped out on the netflix account.

This is a plugin for your blog to display the last instant played movies and/or DVD's and Blu-Ray's that have been shipped on your account.

It utilizes the netflix API and webservices to tranfer the information and Jquery to display it on your blog.

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

    1. Upload moviesformyblog folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
    3. Add the plugin to the sidebar under the widget options through the Appearance menu and drag it to the location of your choice.
    4. Set the title of the Plugin to what you would like to call it. Preferably MoviesForMyBlog.
    5. Go to the MFMB Settings page under the Settings menu.
    6. Click the Get Login Tokens link to get your initial Login Tokens.
    7. Click the Authorize Tokens link to take you to a netflix authorization page to allow this plugin to authorize the OAuth tokens to request an ID to communicate with your Netflix account. After logging into netflix it will redirect you to the homepage of your WordPress Blog.
    8. Go back to the site admin section and navigate to the MFMB Settings page under the Settings menu.
    9. Click the Get Access Tokens link to get your final authorization tokens for secure authentication to netflix without your username and password.
    10. Select the options to display and type a quantity to retrieve. I recommend not going over 50 for each option selected because it doesn't support more than that for this implementation.
    11. Select in whole numbers how often you want the data to be refreshed. I recommend every 1 to 2 hours. Netflix does limit the amount of requests your account can make on a daily basis. This also helps lower the load on my servers to request data to frequently.
    12. Last click the Save Changes button to make your first secure authenticated request.
    13. The CSS of your theme out of the box might make the widget look different. You might have to make a few css changes to the plugin in regards to the width and height of the sidebar you added it to. I have put those settings at the top of the css file. Feel free to customize as needed.
    14. You should now have the plugin initialized on your WordPress Blog.

How does this widget authenticate to Netflix?

Netflix API's utilize OAuth so I built an intermediary to provide that secure connection to Netflix so many people could utilize this nifty widget.

That has nothing to do with WordPress core though. That's the responsibility of the site owner. If you don't agree with how that person runs their site, don't use it.

Even if WP showed an "edited" message or something like that, the site owner could keep that message from appearing. So, what would this accomplish?
