Improve Templating System

  1. csogilvie

    Currently, the templating system used on WordPress blogs are a home-brew system, by the looks of things. While there is nothing wrong with this, I have one major issue with it;

    There is (some) HTML mixed into files which don't live in wp-content/themes/ which means that you can't change ALL the look and feel without changing core code therefor making WordPress harder to upgrade.

    It would be nice if there was no HTML in core wordpress files, and it could all be changed through wp-content/themes - this should be relatively straight forward for the wordpress devs to do.

    This has been 'fixed' as of the 2.0 branch, I'm pretty sure :)
