Extend Search

There is a serious lack of a persistent search box in the Extend section. As soon as you click through to view a plugin page no plugin search box is displayed!

Of course you can use the generic search box at the very top of the page, but this adds an extra step to the search process. If I remember rightly, before the change to the new theme, there was a search box in the left column (maybe I'm getting that wrong) but either way, it should be fairly simple to search, view a plugin, search again etc. without having to jump back to the plugin home or searching through the generic search box and then refining your results to searching plugins only.

I agree, i'd like some options like:

    • Search in pages OR posts
    • Search by author
    • Search posts and/or pages created in a determined interval of time

    :D

Also, would love to see plugin ratings displayed along side search results!

+5 for just making plugin DB searches accessible from the top of the wp.org site. I really expect to be able to type a plugin name in there and have it be one of the options for what to search.

The search at wp/extend/ is shown on every page, also much more data is shown on the search.
