"Edit User" link when registering

    Because my site requires me to make new users rather rapidly and without their input, I've created a plugin that does what I want. Namely: when I create a user, I'd like the feedback that WordPress provides to include a link to continue editing that user, since the new user screen does not allow me to add name and other info.

    But doesn't this seem like a logical next step in creating a user? Should this not perhaps be adopted into the core?

    <?php
    /*
    Plugin Name: Edit New User
    Plugin URI:
    Description: Very basic, simply provide a link when creating a new user that allows you to go directly to the User Edit screen.
    Author: Tom Belknap
    Version: 1.o
    Author URI: http://dragonflyeye.net/
    */

    $link	= '';
    function dfe_edit_new_user($userId) {
    	$link	= '<div class="updated"><p><a>Edit User</a></p></div>';
    	add_action('admin_notices', 'dfe_enu_message');
    }

    function dfe_enu_message() {
    	echo $link;
    }

    add_action( 'user_register', 'dfe_edit_new_user');
    ?>

    Yes and no. You're doing a fairly rare thing, though you could probably do this 'faster' with something like http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-multiple-users/

    It's not common enough to be needed for everyone.
