Since most of the people use wordpress as a blogging tool or as a tool to share content, there should be a option for users to read the main content in a "Distraction Free Mode" where he sees only the title and the content of the post or page.
This is similar to "Reader" option provided by Safari.

I agree that it would be less distracting to be able to go right to a title of your choice easier, I believe it there would be more interest in reading the subject more often.

I have created a wordpress plugin on the concept of Distraction Free Viewing "https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-distraction-free-view/". This plugin will help site owners to put a button of distraction free viewing on above the content or below the content and on clicking which a popup opens up displaying the post title and the description without any type of distraction. It is still under development for many supported features.
