    Compact Admin simply makes the posts and pages lists in the admin pages more compact.

    Compact Admin simply makes the posts and pages lists in the admin pages more compact. Instead of taking up two lines of text, plus excessive margins, only one line is used per post/page. It also replaces the cluttery en dashes with whitespace.

    Compact Admin is released as open source and can be used, modified and redistributed in any way possible.

    1. Put the compact-admin directory in your wordpress plugins directory, ie /wp-content/plugins/.
    2. Activate Compact Admin in the Plugins section of the WordPress admin.

    Interesting, what sort of CPU usage are you looking at?

    Something to consider - do you have a lot of plugins active? As these will add an overhead to processing, but still a minimal amount.

    We've got 20+ WordPress sites and 2 WP-Multi-Site Setups (plus a bunch of other stuff) and we rarely see the entire server's CPU usage rise above 2% (30 second average).

    Like Madalin suggested, it could be your hosting that is the issue. What's your hosting setup?
