Custom Meta Titles & Meta Descriptions Built In

Out of all CMS platforms WP has still not standardized the option for custom meta titles and descriptions. This is one of the most valuable items for SEO outside of writing good content. It would be nice to see this option standardized to help reduce the amount of plugins needed to adjust your sites SEO. I've recently developed a plugin that gives site owners the option to edit meta titles and descriptions from the front-end, which is extremely useful and makes it a lot easier to make changes on the fly without having to open up the editor to make changes.

Agreed! Basic SEO metas should be in-built within the core for page, post and custom types and will be ready out of the box. Also, it will eliminate the requirement of any external module for this basic task, eliminate dependencies & compatibility issues, and increase in performance...

Yes I remember there used to be an area below each of my pages that would let me manually put in my Title, Description and Keywords for each page. It is gone. What is the name of your plug in? Is it available for us to use?
