Custom login files in the theme directory
Hope in the next version it is posslible to create like the header, footer and so on a custom login page (login.php) or something like that. Because for professional sites the wordpress login page is not a solution and hacks are not as good as a official way..
Although this is pluggable, I'd really like to see this feature added also.
I've seen some plugins around there, which are doing a great job for solving this problem.
But as you mentioned - the better way would be an official integration. So I am following this request, would be nice to see in future versions.
thank you very much for this plugin because I think it's a good idea.
I would really like to see custom config option for user login, registration page with custom url like in drupal as /user or /login supporting natively in WP dashboard.
I created specific templates to bring the login/registration process to the frontend. There are a few tutorials available. However you need to create a PAGE using the specific template but that way you get a comfortable /login/ url with permalinks.
think an official way is better and cleaner..
Like Gerald, I've ended up creating pages with custom templates which hold parts of the wp-login.php code in order to personalize the login screen more than you currently are capable of with hooks.
having; login.php / signup.php / lostpassword.php files (or something of the sort) is a life saver for pretty much all comercial WordPress sites which provide user registrations.
There are White Label plugins for WordPress. Although I'd love to see It being implemented officially.
What would also be awesome would be the ability to change the login page (you can already do this through httaccess I know, but It would be better If It was implemented).
Also, the ability to change the names of the 'wp-content', 'wp-admin' etc folders.
I love wordpress, but sometimes It doesn't look professional to reveal that the website was created with wordpress (even If It's only mentioned on the source code);
You can move wp-content: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Moving_wp-content
Keep in mind, not everyone writes Plugins smartly, or themes, and they can break.
