I wrote a post, http://www.untwistedvortex.com/2008/09/30/how-to-reduce-adsense-impressions-while-improving-the-click-through-rate-ctr/ , and described how to prevent AdSense from displaying for certain conditions. I use it on my blog.

It would be great if someone could turn it into a plugin.

Before someone says it, I'm talking about the conditions part of it. That way, something like $skipadsense would be globally accessible to other plugins.

This wouldn't be a core enhancement. Just create your own global variable called $skipadsense and document how to use it.

This would be appropriate for a plugin, not a core enhancement.

Where did you see the word "core" in the idea or the comments?

Good idea, but I guess implemented. Have you ever heard of No Adverts for Friends? you can use it, and everyone can save sometimes by not making the same plugin.

I'm currently working towards getting a chemistry minor, and one of my friends told me that her dad is a chemical engineer and has 4 patents that are quite lucrative for him. I know all too well that it's not as simple as walking into the lab and throwing chemicals together- a lot of research, hours of experimentation, and hardwork has to go into R&D for something to be considered successful. I also know that if you're working for a chemical company, they probably end up with the chemical <cite>Patents</cite>. How can you be sure that you yourself would get the patent, how long do patents last, and do you think this would be a good idea to make money, or does the time investment outweigh the benefit?

How do you add google adsense ads to your youtube video page? How do you add google adsense text links to your youtube video page? I understand the google video units are just attached to the video itself, but how can you add the actual google text links to the page also...!!?

  9. When using Google Adsense with YouTube, you post the code Google provides to a separate web page... You won't be able to post the Adsense code onto your YouTube profile/channel... you would need to become a YouTube partner to get the ads show up in your videos...!!!!
