Change "closed topic" time periods

I believe "expanding" the topic dates to say three months or longer would be of benefit to the entire community. Why? Because the current cut off of 15 days because of no activity just causes "more" topic threads to new community members that may need to ask a question about the "now closed" topic but the question is slightly different that the one asked. Also, the current short time period does not allow those who have discovered a solution to share it with the rest of the community.

This forum is for ideas for WordPress CORE, not the website.

There's no 15 day cutoff HERE at all. Posts are closed after 12 months (one year), not 15 days.

Are you trying to say that COMMENTS are closed on your site after 15 days? If so, you can change that.
