Add 'Size' to Gallery Shortcode

When using the Gallery Shortcode, you have the option to change the following Gallery Settings:
    Link To:
    Random Order:

    But what's missing is 'Size'.
A lot of professional photographers use 1 column of Large size images in their blog posts.
I attempted to try to write a plugin (would have been my first) for this, but ended up way over my head, and couldn't find a way to do it.

While you can now Insert Selected Photos in the 3.5 Media Uploader,
    1. You have to tell each photo what size to be (very annoying when inserting 30 or more photos).
    2. Using the Gallery is easier to reorder the images if needed after publishing.

    Thanks! Love y'all.

Yes, I'm aware of that, but you have to write it in to the shortcode.
It would be used more if it were in the GUI, and people could select it.

Would it be very difficult to put a control panel that allows modify limitations as indicating bahia?

I see there are many wp users who are always suggesting things, and I think you could fix everything with a control panel for making the parameters to measure each.

I am not aware of the difficulty for devolopers but I think to be great.

(Incidentally Mika, could you check my comments in other posts?, I think the comments hace reconsidered spam, Thanks!)

I need a way to not give a certain amount of columns for a responsive theme. The solution should put each image beside each other regarding the viewport. If the end of a row is reached the next image should float left to the next row. And NOT presenting them in a masonry wall. Can I somehow disable the fix column amount?
Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

I am not sure if its necessary for core but its possible to make it with custom function (plugin or theme's functions.php)

I had similar problem to change gallery panel which i found solution and wrote on my blog:

your section to change is tmpl-gallery-settings

If you cant handle it, contact me from my blog, i will write a tutorial for it

    Its really a great idea
Why are you using this code - especially maybeReadOnly

    <input type="text" value="{{ data.title }}" class="describe" data-setting="title"
    placeholder="<?php esc_attr_e('Caption this imageā€¦'); ?>" {{ maybeReadOnly }} />

    Can you explain?
