Organizations Supporting WordPress Infrastructure
The WordPress project thrives because individuals and organizations dedicate their time to code and non-code contributions through Five for the Future. In addition to open source contributions, some organizations help maintain the infrastructure that powers WordPress. This page lists organizations that contribute directly to WordPress infrastructure.
Salesforce
Salesforce is the world’s largest enterprise software company and the global leader in customer relationship management (CRM), holding over 20% market share. With annual revenue exceeding $31 billion, Salesforce offers cloud-based solutions that automate sales, marketing, and customer service. Known for innovation, it integrates AI-powered tools to support data-driven decisions across its products, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. Salesforce has a strong relationship with the open-source community, contributing to various projects and supporting open innovation.
Each year, Salesforce donates $8.8 million USD to WordPress.org by supporting the Make/WordPress Slack instance, the main platform for real-time communication within the WordPress project. This Slack instance hosts hundreds of channels and contributors, enabling collaboration across the WordPress open-source community.
Thanks to Salesforce’s generous support, WordPress enjoys full access to Slack’s premium features, helping to sustain the project’s global contributor community. We are deeply grateful for Salesforce’s commitment to open source and its continued support of WordPress.
