Not only is this the best free theme it tops many premium pay for themes I've used in my web design business. And, it's being kept up-to-date which is really unusual for a freebie.
A lot of work has evidently gone in to making the Suffusion theme accessible to people with little WP experience. I cut my teeth on this theme and it's certainly helped me to build good looking sites without recourse to a lot of study.
The responsiveness of the author and the consequent richness of the FAQ & support forum is a great asset.
We are using the theme in combination with several other big plugins, like wpml, eventmanager, gravityforms and buddypress. Even with woocommerce the theme works fine.
Almost every need you can manage in the frontend. It is great supported and well documented.
Great work and I really hope, Sayontan will not stop working on it!
I started way back with suffusion. Found it a bit daunting at first even tried a number of other themes including Atahualpa but something kept bringing me back to suffusion and the forever happy cheerful and hard working Sayontan Sinh hope he makes a lot of money from this he well deserves it. If you are looking for the best free theme around this is it. Bit hard at first but stick with it as there is nothing out there to touch it.
Keep up the good work :)
As for WordPress development team giving him a hard time !! Wake up guys smell the coffee
This review of Suffusion is late in coming.. perhaps. On the other hand, no stronger showing of support could be mustered than at the brink of the most amazing theme's rumored end of life.
Suffusion's elegance, power and strength has evolved over years of development by one of the most brilliant, talented and selfless individuals on the planet. And the community support which has welled up around this theme and its creator bears clear, consistent and steadfast testament that Suffusion's development should be encouraged by WordPress and its Theme Review Team.
Review Team: WAKE UP!
If the Theme Review Team continues to implement feature restrictions and ever increasing draconian guidelines for theme approval, not only do we run the risk of losing Suffusion, but the very spirit that created it, as well as the past and future themes whose base premise isn't greed.
Suffusion is definitely one of the best or maybe even the best free theme around. Before i started my blogs at the end of 2011 i actually looked at almost the whole repository (i think there were some 600 themes back then), and i did trial installs of somewhere between 50-100. Suffusion came out clearly on TOP.
The developer unfortunately is currently thinking about stopping to work on it because of some decisions the WordPress theme review team has made that in his opinion are detrimental to developers and users.
That would be a shame.
I always admired how Sayaontan - besides having a high-workload full-time job and a family - worked on Suffusion, replied to forum questions etc, and all of us get that for free.
So what i see is an unusually dedicated person, and if WordPress manages to annoy such a person so much that he actually thinks about stopping to take care of his baby Suffusion, that has been - so to speak - "adopted" by millions of websites around the world, than WordPress is definitely doing something wrong.
I have used many themes in WordPress planet but Suffiusion is definitely the best theme for professionals and beginners with various many built-in features available for free.
I wonder why it is not in the featured themes list!!!
Es el tema que uso desde hace ya 2 años y he de decir que será el que use durante muchos años más. Gracias Sayontan
Many thanks to Sayontan Sinha for his dedication and expertise in developing this great theme and supporting it so thoughtfully and thoroughly.

It's complately complex with many useful options and so easy to customize them. Thanks for this great theme, saved me lots of time.
