Light, clean and simple would be the first impression given by this elegant and professional theme. Perfect for those who need a quick and easy starter. For those who need advanced customization of the home page for instance, the Oxygen Theme is probably a bit too simple. Nice responsive behavior.
I use the Oxygen theme for calorie-count.us. I like the minimalistic design of the theme. It's good for content-loaded sites. The theme is very easy to set up.
The look of this site is very slick. For myself, design is what's most important. The site works well, and I have had no issues yet (knock on wood) with upgrades to plugins, WordPress itself, or the theme. I have dealt with other themes that are more easily customized - but if you're not afraid of CSS, then this theme shouldn't give you much grief. Just be sure to use a child theme.
Very NIce Template work...
Nice structured ...
Just what I wanted my blog to be
I have been using this theme for around six months now and I haven't had any issues. The featured slider and primary posts took a little 'min re-engineering' when I first installed it but since then I have had no breaks (touch wood!)
For anyone wanting a fairly simple theme with a nice featured homepage and a smooth backend i'd strongly consider Oxygen!
Nice ² clean theme. Thx a lot solochris14 :)
This is a great theme to customize (child theme!!) because it starts off very clean and simple. The media queries all seem to work well with the kind of content I have (not much at the moment). Nice font choices, but I'm also adding custom fonts myself.
I installed this theme on egear.be because Devpress claims the theme is mobile optimized.
Well, it is not!
I tried a lot of different settings but on iphone and ipad (and other mobile devices) the theme still sucks.
After asking some questions on the wordpress.org forums ( http://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-oxygen-theme-and-mobile?replies=14 ) I found out that the theme is only mobile optimized for wordpress.com and not for self-hosted wordpress.org sites.
I would only recommend the oxygen theme after these issues are solved. These days you just cannot have a site anymore that doesn't look nice on mobile.
I've been working with Oxygen for the past few months, building a fairly complex website for a church. It took a little digging to figure out the homepage slider and how it works w/ the posts, and some trial and error to figure out some other details -- but I am a WordPress newbie (this was my fifth or sixth site), so more experienced developers might find it a cakewalk.
Anyway, I do love the theme. Using custom menus and the catlist plug-in makes it even more flexible. I've had little or no need to dive into the css or php files. I've found everything to work "as advertised," and wouldn't hesitate to use this theme again in the future.
