Display a list of related entries on your site and feeds based on a unique algorithm. Now with thumbnail support built-in!
I have been using this plugin for years on many sites and the related posts that it shows are by far the most accurately related to the original post compared to similar plugins that I have tried.
Needs more control about which posts to be displayed on, although you can do that conditionally in the YARPP PHP templates.
Overall a very strong related posts plugin that appears to have been carefully coded and thought out.
We've been using this plugin for a few months, works great. We tested a few others, but YARPP's algorithm for related listings is way ahead of the curve. The only thing missing when we first tried it was an option to display thumbnails, but that has since been added. Thanks!
The feature I like most, is that you can either put the related posts to the bottom of the page or use a widget.
This plugin has worked great in it's accuracy to have the related content that I want my users to see.
Great functionality, but shortcode feature has been abandoned. I think this is a great pitty and should be reconsidered.
I would rate this plugin "5 Stars" if this feature was re-introduced.
Good instructions... just the right amount of settings... got up and running in no time. A life saver! (considering building the same algorithm would have been a daunting task. Kudos!
I have used couple of other plugins in past (even implemented similar scripts myself), but was not satisfied, but because of yarpp's recent updates, I kind of hesitate to not use it :), there is no doubt about its usefulness but what impresses me most is its powerful customization abilities and there a lots of ways it can still grow, but for majority of sites its plug and play.
Thanks Michael, for providing us such a wonderful plugin and specially for no price at all.
This plugin does an excellent job selecting and displaying related posts. I wish there was a selection to suppress from certain wp category.
Tested other ones, but this one do whatshould be done.
