When I first started using this, I remember that it was quite fiddly getting the CSS correct so things displayed nicely on my site (hardly the fault of the plugin). And of course - with a new site, there wasn't all that many posts to look at !
But now more than a year on, my site has grown and I'm continuously impressed at the accuracy of the suggestions it comes up with - as if I'd manually added them !
Amd while other plugins have come & gone, this one has stood the test of time - behaving itself and just getting on with the job.
There's a lot of "related posts" plugins. And there's even some social plugins with "related posts" options. I've used a few and honestly, this is the one I always come back to. It's a must use plugin for almost every single site I build. You can't go wrong with YARPP...seriously.
This plugin does the job alright.
Few formatting issues I have with it:
When displaying thumbnails, I'd prefer it to maybe grab the thumbnail instead of the featured image because the featured image isn't necessarily in a square so when resized it will display funny. Also, when it doesn't show the max number of related posts, it would be nice if the related posts resized to fill the full width.
Technically, it seems to work ok.
I don't really have time to research other plugins right now so it'll do for now.
Does precisely what you need it to, and is easy to configure.
shortly short, the best related posts ever. the algorithm or logarithm is just like magic in this plugin and it work best with big websites like mine i am surprised with the results it's like aliens who picked the related posts!
Beign able to access an array with related poss makes very easy creating completely custom templates for related posts.
Easy to use and does the job as promised. Love it!!
please fix it! I will give you 5 stars as soon as it works.
Tried this on a ~50k posts website by displaying 20 related posts on each one (only titles) to improve Google crawling and indexing. Thought this might kill my VPS, but you can barely notice it, and I'm not even running a cache plugin!
Templating was fairly easy as well, as I used Bootstrap scaffolding to break the 20 posts into two sets of 10.
Thanks for a really good plugin!
Does what is says and add links nicely at bottom. I like the new image feature although I'm not currently using it :)
